The
Texas Dall Sheep is a unique, hybrid breed of "hair sheep" developed in Texas during the early 1900s at the famous Y.O. Ranch. Unlike the wild Alaskan Dall sheep, the Texas Dall is a designer breed specifically created for hunting and ranching by crossing Mouflon ewes with domestic Rambouillet or Merino rams.

Texas Dall Sheep are not particularly tough animals. Any common centerfire round starting at a .223 is sufficient.
